Alicante Airport is some ten kilometers south of the city just off the N332 and A7 motorway is actually located in the Elche Municipality and is one of the biggest employers in the area. The excellent official AENA and Spanish Airport Guides will give all the information you could ever wish to know about flights, hotels, car-hire etc. Suffice to say here that it is one of the "Top10" Spanish airports with over 9 million passengers passing through its (now) two terminals. Please note that if you are going to the south of the Alicante province you might want to consider Murcia-San Javier Airportto fly into. For those going to the north of the province then Valencia Airport might be worth considering.
